BT has announced this week that it intends to give away a Free Youview Box to subscribers of it’s home phone, broadband and/or television services when the YouView system launches in the first half 2011.

YouView is a joint venture between the BBC, ITV, BT, TalkTalk, Channel 4, Five and Arqiva. BT is therefore  ideally positioned to make the most of it’s internet network structure to tempt new subcribers to its landline and broadband packages with the promise of a free YouView box which are likely to retail for £100-200.

The YouView system builds on the success of Freeview+ recorders and adds video on demand – content streamed to your YouView box via the internet. To stay up to date with the latest YouView boxes, sign up to our FREE email updates service at the top right hand side. We won’t sell your details, just send you an email when we add new information to this site, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Because of posts like this I surf the internet and when I found you, the time I felt I was wasting, just turned my thoughts around and now I am thinking I invested my time in something really interesting.
